Is Samantha pairing up with Vikram?

Director Shankar after giving a blockbuster movie Nanban, has planned to do his next film with Vikram in the lead role. Samantha will be pairing up with Vikram as a female lead of this untitled film. Thus the actress bagged one more big project in her list.

Samantha, who is currently busy in Gautham Menon’s Neethane En Ponvasantham-a multilingual project, Mani Rathnam’s Kadal and some more projects in Telugu is going to join with Shankar. 

Report says that the discussions between the film maker and the actress are over. Samantha is interested in doing this project but nothing is officially done, the actress is yet to sign in the dotted lines.

According to the sources, Samantha is one of the heroines of the film and not the female lead. Since it is a multilingual project, the director is searching for a Bollyood actress. The film casts multiple heroines in it and Samantha will be one among them, says the source.

It was earlier announced that the director is most likely to cast Asin and Priyanka Chopra the Hindi actresses in the female lead of this film, since both of them have already worked in Tamil film industry. But they did not confirmed anything.

However the untitled film is based on the politics and social problems. The film will be produced by Aascar Ravichandran under the banner of Aascar Films.  P. C. Sreeram will handle the camera and the movie score will be composed by A. R. Rahman. The shooting of this untitled film will go on floors at the end of June month.
